The actibelt^® is a joint development of Trium Analysis Online GmbH and Sylvia Lawry Centre for Multiple Sclerosis Research. It is a belt with a sensor in its buckle which measures accelerations in the three dimensions in space.

A corresponding software distinguishes between different movements, detects and counts steps, calculates the step duration, the step frequency and the asymmetry.
